BeBarber Fiber + Aftershave Review

Some time ago I was asked by a new italian brand called BeBarber to test their first products that is Fiber pomade and refreshing aftershave. I agreed as I really like to try new stuff especialy when it comes to hair products. So lets jump right into my review.

Fiber pomade (Pomata per Capelli)

The Packaging

BeBarber Fiber pomade comes in a 100 ml plastic container with plastic screw lid. On the top label we can see brand’s and product name. There is also this handsome guy pointing his finger at you. It reminds me a bit of the old ads from 1930’s. On the side label we got pomade’s description and the ingridients. Everything looks cool to me.

The inside

Colour: white

Type: water based fiber pomade

Consistency: creamy paste that rubs in your palms without much resistance; leaves something like a white coating; if you clap your hands quickly it will produce those little fibers flying around

Smell: very cosmetic hair spray-like scent, quite intense, not really my kind of scent

Ingridients: Aqua, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ozokerite, Cera Alba, Synthetic Beeswax, PVP, Propylene Glycol, Ceteatyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum, Ethylhexylgrycerin, Linum Usitatissimum Extract, Limonene, Linalool.

When it comes to the ingridients as you can see we have a water base plus some waxes like beeswax, synthetic beeswax and ozokerite. There is also linseed extract which makes your hair moisturized.

The Effects

So the BeBarber pomade scoops effortlessly and spreads in your palms without much resistance. Applying it to your hair is not a problem either. You can feel a little bit of its grab but I would not say it tugs or pulls hair. Styling is also quite easy. When it comes to the effects:

• it gives your hair a medium to firm hold
• it sticks your hair a bit but not for long as you can restyle during the day
• the shine is quite natural, not too matte not too shiny
• it makes your hair appear a bit darker
• restyling is easy; you can use your hand or a comb
• washing the pomade off is not a problem; just use a normal shampoo

I guess the BeBarber fiber pomade will find its place in all kinds of hair. You can use it while styling a more messy kind of side part or slick back hairstyle. It gives quite a decent hold while making your hair look natural.

Refreshing Aftershave (Dopobarba Rinfrescante)

The packaging

The BeBarber aftershave comes in a transparent 100 ml (3,38 FL OZ) glass bottle with a little atomizer at the top. Both labels are silver and shiny which looks very cool. There is the brand’s logo and product name in the front plus afterhsave description and ingridients on the back.

The inside

Colour: the substance inside seems to be light blue

Type: aftershave

Smell: the aftershave smells hell better than the pomade; it combines this typical cologne-ish scent with citrusy flavours which make it very fresh and appealing

Ingridients: Alcohol denat., Parfum, Isopropyl Myristate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Propylene Glycol, Aqua, Hexyl Cinnamal, Citranellol, Coumarin, Linalool, Citral, Limonene, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Apricot Kernel Oil Polyglyceryl-6 esters, Polyglyceryl-10 oleate, Polyglyceryl-6 oleate, Sorbitan Palmiate, Kaempferol, Magnolol.

The effects

BeBarber Aftershave can be used after wet shaving your face. It disinfects the skin and decontaminates it. It also eliminates iritation and makes your skin feel and smell fresh. The scent is so intense that you can also use it as a perfume on a daily basis.

When it comes to the price it is quite high as for a 100 ml bottle you have to pay 28 € so around 120 PLN. But with discount code BEARDRUST20 you can have it 20% off.

The verdict

I like italian brands as they always pay attention to even small details and their products are always of a high quality. BeBarber althought is a new brand makes me curious and interested it their offer. They only have like 3 products at the moment but I wish them all good in the future. When it comes to the pomade it is a decent product with nice packaging, nice hold and natural finish. I am not a huge fan of the scent but thit is a very individual matter. The aftershave on the other hand is a great product which has a pleasant smell and can be use both as a aftershave and as a perfume.
